Japan: The 2012 Consumer Price Index Fall for 4 Years

From various types of commodities, entertainment services price index fell 1.6% year-on-year. Refrigerators and other household durable goods price index fell 6.6% year-on-year.

The Composite Consumer Price Index of December was 99.3, including fresh food price which change largely, down 0.1% year-on-year.

In addition, the average of the 2012 national consumer price index (excluding fresh food) was 99.7, down 0.1% compared with the previous year, keeping the negative growth for four years, showing that the deflation pressure still heavy. The decline is decreased 0.3% compared to it in 2011.

The TV, refrigerator and other electrical products prices influenced. While in the Energy expenditure, electricity prices rose significantly.

The CPI was 99.7 in 2012, including the fresh food which change largely,
