American automaker Honda Motor has issued a voluntary recall on 7,387 Acura RLX vehicles of certain model year 2014 in the US over loosening of lower control arm bolts .

According to the company, the bolts that attach the rear lower control arms to the sub-frame of the vehicle may have loosened during transport to dealerships. Loose rear lower control arm bolts may reduce steering ability, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall is expected to begin in early January 2014. These affected vehicles were manufactured from 7 August 2012, through 5 November 2013.

Dealers of the company will replace the rear suspension lower control arm bolts, free of charge. The carmaker will notify owners of the affected vehicles.

Earlier in November 2013, Honda Motor also issued a recall on 344,187 Honda Odyssey vehicles of certain model year 2007-2008, over brakes problem, where it was determined that the vehicle safety assist system (VSA) of the affected vehicles may apply the brakes unexpectedly due to a combination of system components and software.
