Dubai Construction Company has won the contract to build USD 200 million mixed use tower in Amman.The 78,000 square meter,36 storey tower will contain the first five star W Hotel in Jordan which will have 280 rooms and 42 serviced apartments.The tower will sit on top of an 8 level podium containing high end retail units office space and hotel facilities.

Civil works for the project are expected to start in the H1 of 2015 and the project has an expected completion date of end 2015 with the hotel due to open in 2016.The tower is being developed by Seraya Abdali and has been designed by architectural practice Perkins&Will.

Mr Abdallah H Yabroudi CEO of DCC said that"We are very happy to draw on our experience and rich expertise for the implementation of this prestigious project on behalf of Saraya,which will be a positive contribution to boosting world-class infrastructure for Jordan's tourism industry.DCC is committed to the achievement of the aspired goals of both companies which will contribute significantly to the Jordanian economy at large."

Mr Khalil S.Saket GM of Saraya Abdali Real Estate Investment Company said that"The signing of this contract is a major milestone that ushers in an exciting stage in our business plans.We are pleased to entrust our development project to Dubai Construction Company,a Jordanian firm that enjoys the full support of its parent company,DCC,who have a proven track record to their credit in the UAE and are expanding further into the region.We look forward to starting construction in a few months'time."
